Jim McLay

One-man band.

I use Finale Songwriter to create home-made backing music. Each line is then recorded onto its own track using Reaper and levels are set, and any effects added.

When it sounds Ok, I then add in the vocals and keyboards, the difficult bit. It often takes 15 or 20 takes to get it anywhere near.
