Based in Cambodia since 2016, I am a freelance documentary photographer with extensive hands-on experience documenting remote and diverse communities across Asia and Africa. My work focuses on highlighting cultural identity, social challenges, and the resilience of underrepresented communities. Prior to photography, I worked in international development in a United Nations organization, specializing in food security, nutrition, and climate change. This background has given me a deep understanding of global development issues, which I now translate into compelling visual narratives. My photography is driven by a passion for storytelling and advocacy. I create impactful visuals designed to amplify voices, raise awareness, and enhance the visibility of social and environmental challenges. My projects have included capturing rituals and ceremonies in West and Central Africa, exploring the intersections of tradition and modernity in communities, and documenting the human stories behind global challenges.

uniE621 School nutrition standards for safeguarding children’s right to food
Commissioned by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Cambodia, I documented project activities in the target areas. The project aims to improve children’s diets, through the adoption of nutrition guidelines and standards within national school food programmes and policies, and through the promotion of effective food education strategies and complementary food environment interventions in school systems. The project is also focused on integrating such standards and complementary measures into national legal frameworks and promoting social control mechanisms, in order to support the right to food of schoolchildren and adolescents.
    uniE621 African Mosaic
“African Mosaic, A Journey into Spiritual Landscapes and Sacred Traditions” explores a mosaic of ceremonies and rituals in four African countries, capturing significant moments of spirituality and cultural importance. The project offers a glimpse into unique ceremonies, scarification practices, and the symbolism behind ceremonial masks. With frames capturing initiation ceremonies and itinerant performers with ancient magic traditions, this visual journey captures some sacred traditions, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the richness and diversity of Africa’s cultural heritage. Photographies were taken in some of the most inaccessible corners of Mali, Nigeria, Benin, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo throughout 2023. https://www.twine.net/signin
