Since 2001, Joe’s work has been published in most of the major UK newspapers including The Sunday Times, The Guardian and The Independent. He is a regular contributor to The Telegraph.

Joe has also written for various guidebook publishers including Lonely Planet, Frommers and Dorling Kindersley, and currently reviews hotels for Conde Nast Johansens, i-escape, Expedia and North Star Media.
He has 7 books published, of which his first, More Ketchup than Salsa, was voted best travel narrative 2007 by the British Guild of Travel Writers.
Joe has also ghostwritten memoirs for several global industry leaders, securing a Big 5 publishing deal.

Joe Cawley was the editor of the Canary Island’s quality lifestyle magazine, Living Tenerife from May 2003 until December 2004 and Tenerife Magazine in 2010. Editorial duties included overseeing all magazine copy; commissioning writers and photographers, producing web content; wording competitions, advertorials and advertisements; liaising with sales staff and producing direct mail campaigns.
