Johan Wejedal

I am an experienced, multi-skilled designer and 3D artist, with degrees from studies at Umeå Institute of Design and YRGO’s Computer Graphics Design course. Last year I worked at Zeekr Design in Gothenburg, Sweden, as a 3D visualizer, doing mostly interior VRED renderings of future car models in close collaboration with the CMF design team, a job I really enjoyed. However, due to the sudden slow down of the electric car market in 2024, the 3D visualization team at Zeekr sadly had to be scaled down a bit, so me and some colleagues had to go. I am therefore currently on the look out for new opportunities.

Before this I have for example worked as a free lance designer, doing design and various 3D-jobs for special custom car builders Caresto, Ecoist and some automotive start ups, as well as having internships as a 3D-artist at Edit House Film Works and Brickland. For Caresto I designed and 3D-modeled the wheels for a real live Batmobile based on a Lamborghini Gallardo chassis(!) and for Edit House Film Works I worked with the launch of Polestar 4, among other things. I have also worked at Opel in Germany as an Alias 3D-modeler.

I find your advertised opening as 3D designer a perfect for my skills and my interests and hereby apply for this role. I can start asap. I am well acquainted with VRED, Alias AutoStudio, Adobe CS and Blender and have also used Unreal Engine for VR and visualizations projects. I work efficiently and meticulously and am always eager to enhance my skills and expand my knowledge in new software.
