Born near the volcanic isles of Mount Pinotubo, in the late 70's, I forged my love of all things pop culture in the turbulent fires of the 80's and 90's. Filipino culture, American pop culture, and arriving in America just in time to be a teenager in the 90's, tempered who I am today. It has informed my career, and is one of the many reasons I'm a graphic designer. Being adaptable and embracing the diy drive is my success story. From working in a small screenprinting shop in Norman, Oklahoma, I discovered a whole new skillset that I absolutely fell in love with. That job afforded me the opportunity to learn screenprinting from the ground up. The whole process, from creating the artwork, making the separations, printing the positives, coating then burning screens, and finally setting up the job to print. From there I made no excuses. I made posters and shirts for friends bands, and local venues. From those experiences I leveled up to a larger screenprinting shop. From there I learned to be a better designer, working with 3 other very talented and motivated creatives. It was the beginning of learning how to brand a company as well. They had brand standards and aesthetics that were more consistent and pervasive. After those 2 years of epic growth, I landed a job at very large car audio company, with the brand message "Livin' Loud!" which really fit my dynamic, and sometimes garish style. I learned all the ins and outs of a large marketing operation. From packaging, events, brand management, brand partners, social media and promotion. This is who I am, and I how I was tempered and molded, and I'm ready to continue forging that process by rolling your project into my expertise.
