An exercise in product design, I took an idea I had for a website that allowed people to learn more about significant events currently happening worldwide and used it for a class project. I ideated features for the site, iterated designs for features using the sketch design method, and improved those designs with feedback from classmates.

I worked with a small team as a product designer; tasked with developing a training tool to train sailors to use an IR camera system. We named this tool Visible Horizons. I applied design skills like prototyping and wireframing, and soft skills like teamwork and communication.

A project to update the email sent to customers when they order credentials. The original email layout used an HTML table and put the content in different cells. This resulted in there being grey lines that would show up on the edges of the page. I fixed this and added a new header to the page to improve the look of the email.

A large-scale project where I modeled design changes for the SeatMap platform that the IMS uses. For Context, SeatMap is a ticketing platform that is similar to other platforms like Ticketmaster. The IMS manages its races and the INDYCAR races in Detroit and Iowa. The SeatMap platform itself was first used on the website for the Iowa INDYCAR race and the IMS planned to implement it for their website, and the website for the Detroit Grand Prix. I was tasked with making some design suggestions for the platform to make it compatible with the way tickets are sold at the IMS and bring it in line with contemporary ticket-purchasing platforms. I made mockups in Figma, and these were passed on to a developer to be implemented.

A Redesign of the promotions page on the IMS website. I updated the main home page for the IMS promotions and the page for a promotion that the IMS ran for the Brickyard weekend.

A case study of improving the Java House app. I redesigned the ordering flow to reduce the amount of taps and amount of scrolling. I also plan to make the app look more similar to the Java House website, and user test against the current app.
