Joseph Tobon

I am a Digital Imaging Technician (DIT), Video Editor, and U.S. Navy Veteran with a BFA in Filmmaking from the New York Film Academy in Manhattan. My work spans feature films, commercials, live events, and digital content, where I specialize in on-set data management, secure media workflows, and high-quality post-production. With experience as a DIT on productions such as Tox, Higher Love, and the Preakness 150, I manage data transfer, proxy creation, and delivery pipelines to keep the editor on schedule. I am highly skilled in DaVinci Resolve and advanced DIT tools like ShotPut Pro, ensuring reliable, efficient, and secure media handling. Aboard the USS Gerald R. Ford (2015–2020), I developed the discipline, precision, and adaptability that now guide my work in fast-paced production environments. Today, I apply that same focus to filmmaking, bringing together creative storytelling and technical expertise to deliver content that connects with audiences across platforms.
