Hi, I’m John Schafer, a writer born and raised on the North Side of Chicago. Over the years, I am a member of the Latino Chicago Theater Company and have been fortunate to see my work come to life on stage and screen, including my screenplays "The Unconcerned" and "Bruised Orange" as well as my stage play "A Forty-Five To Pay The Rent." Besides that, I've published short stories, essays, and novellas in over a dozen literary magazines and anthologies. I live a nomadic lifestyle in a thirty-eight foot bus, embracing unique experiences that fuel my creative process.
