“Almost Blue” is a cinematic portrait series exploring contrast — between color, emotion, and presence. Shot at night in the city, the images balance warmth and coolness through complementary tones, mirroring the quiet tension between solitude and serenity.
The project draws inspiration from classic jazz melancholy and the visual language of film — every frame composed to feel like a paused moment from a story. Smoke, light, and silence become recurring motifs, turning the cityscape into a reflection of internal mood rather than a backdrop.
This work represents my approach to portrait photography: emotive, color-driven, and intentionally paced. It’s about creating harmony from tension — crafting images that feel like cinema, not just resemble it.
