uniE621 Walking with her parents- From the bored Princess
This was from a children's book by a local author. The Princess I based off a genuine princess (one of George the thirds youngest) while the parents came from a couple of historical fashion prints. I chose her because she combined the pretty dress and slightly over the top style you would expect from a princess with something that could actually be played in
uniE621 Tree Cover for local Writer's Group
This was a design for a book cover and logo for Liden Writer's Group's book of poetry. They were keen to have not only the group's initials included, but the initials of all the writer's as well. I think the tree format helped with this logo illustrator
    uniE621 Maelys Book Cover
This cover for a fantasy story was an interesting one to work on, with plenty of little details to get my teeth into. I first drew it by hand, and then when the client approved, scanned it into the computer and finished it off in Corel Painter. I am happy with how this turned out, especally the depressing sky and her alert pose illustrator
uniE621 Our Turn Next Cyril - Spy Balloon Cartoon
cartoon graphicdesigner Around the time that America was worrying about Spy Balloons (were they from China or outer space?) I had a little mental image of the balloons being lined up to be shot.
uniE621 Going to the Shows - Poster for Music Group
graphicdesigner illustrator designer JTP Trust, a local group focused on encouraging children and teenagers to sing, was planning a concert when Janice Thompson, the brains behind it, got in touch with me. She was having trouble getting hold of a good design for their poster and program cover, and explained that the concert would feature songs from various musicals. I decided to meld together as many musical characters as I could think of, and place them in the car from Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang. The only one she insisted on was Calamity Jane, who works better then the Nun I'd originally had driving the car, and added a nice bit of colour. It came out nicely, and added a bit to a very nice concert. Done in colour fineline pens and Corel Painter.
