Julie Andrews is the principal of JSA Video Productions in Denver, Colorado. Together with award-winning videographers and graphic artists, Julie writes, produces, directs, and edits stories, commercials, and marketing videos for web, social, broadcast, and special events. Her work also included marketing videos, public service announcements, and news stories. She has won four regional Emmy Awards, eight Colorado Broadcasters Awards, and one Telly for her work. She was nominated for national Emmy for a public service announcement she produced. She also co-directed and was the assistant writer for “When Colorado Went Major League,” an Emmy-nominated documentary telling the story of the Colorado Rockies baseball team coming to Denver. Julie's work in the community is currently focused on Denver Schools and the performing arts. She is the president of Arts for East, a non-profit that supports the performing arts at East High School. She has a long history of giving her time to The Bridge Project. The Bridge Project provided educational, social, and career opportunities to youth living in Denver’s public housing developments and the surrounding areas. She was a tutor, mentor, marketing committee member and gala chairperson. Julie grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After earning her B.A. from Denison University in 1991, she began her career as a print reporter for the Breckenridge Journal, the weekly newspaper in Breckenridge, Colorado. In 1993, she earned the role of editor-in-chief of the newspaper. After earning her M.S. in Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in 1995, she started her broadcast journalism career as a reporter for WLBZ, the NBC affiliate in Bangor, Maine. She returned to Colorado in 1998, taking on the role of station manager for a Resort Sports Network affiliate in Summit County. Before taking the job at 9News, Julie spent four months in the rainforest in Ecuador teaching English. After 8 years of producing and editing 100s of stories at 9News, she started JSA Video Productions, a video production company with numerous clients. Julie is married to Jeff Andrews.
