Industry Experience

Media & Entertainment, Education
paper Myths - Illustrator, Storyboard Artist, Animator

Created for McGraw-Hill for an AR education app.
The client requested a comic style and to have as many myth representations as possible in this project.
I took advantage of using different-sized comic panels to help push the storytelling and create movement in the animation.
Illustrations were created in Photoshop, and they were animated in After Effects

paper Fibonacci Arc - Illustrator, Storyboard Artist, Animator

A history video created for McGraw Hill.
I was provided a script for the Fibonacci, and needed to storyboard the education video. I designed the video’s look to feel like a travel science journal, with notes, sketches, and smugges on every page.
When illustrating the pieces in Photoshop, I had to plan out the layerings ahead of time to give the illusion of the lines drawing onto the page. I didn’t want all the lines to appear at once in the video. I needed the underline sketches to come on first, followed by the bold lines.
The video was animated in After Effects

paper National Park Series - Illustrator

Illustrations done with traditional tools: pen, pencils, acrylic wash, and graphite on mixed-media paper.
The concept of these series is to use the National Park’s unique landscapes to create one-of-a-kind dragons and cryptids that could fit and survive in these environments.

paper Egypt History - Storyboard Artist, Illustrator, and Animator

This was an educational project about how the Pyramids were built.
I was provided a script and storyboarded the idea out. Once the storyboard was approved, I moved on to creating the illustrations, going with an Egyptian hieroglyphic style. I needed to make sure I planned out the Photoshop layers to allow them to be animated in After Effects.
