    Skinning Over
    Skin is the biggest organ of any animal. Wide, spacious surfaces protect the fragility of the insides. Stabbed, cut or taken off reveals the fluid, unstable form invading the outside world. One flushes the other, and the other infects the sailed-out fluid. If the garment states the skin, every cut reveals what is protected. To cut and deconstruct means to expand To peel means to unhide To puncture means to search To reconstruct means to respect To create means to hope. The collection comprises around ten wearable objects that expand spatially. Each form carries the memory of an existing, worn garment. Some pieces are jacquard-knitted and threaded with metal rope; others are worked directly with wire.…

    Julia and Paul are expecting a child. However, from the very beginning, the pregnancy does not go smoothly. As a result of successive complications, the heroine is forced to make a decision that leaves a lasting mark on her psyche. There is someone who will attempt to heal her. The costume design is focused on the visceral and sensual aspect of the play, as people existing in her psyche are merging bodies one into another. The alter ego of the main character, Julia 2, is an unrepressed, free body spirit who helps her walk through the painful memory.…

    Over the past years, I experienced a profound sense of uncertainty. What initially felt personal soon happened to be something collective and shared. I come from south-eastern Poland, not that far away from the Ukrainian border. The only reason I am not directly affected by the war is a completely arbitrary fact that I was born on one side of an imaginary line. This awareness made the idea of borders feel extremely fragile to me: I thought about the contradictory of human beings trying to invade the earth by desperately dividing oneself from it. I decided to destabilise a compact form. I reference survival and military clothing as they are solid, protective garments and leather as the primal material. I rebuild the trenchcoat structure piece by piece with my own hand. Thanks to Elmo Leather and Zadora, who donated me their production waste to work with. I ended up with the chaos of patterns, colours, and textures. A chaos of waste, and I decided to let it lead me.…
