I’m a working film director. So what am I doing on a freelance editing platform?

For 16 years, I’ve built my career across the Egyptian and Saudi film and television industries, working my way from Assistant Editor to Senior Editor, and eventually Director.

With credits on nearly 30 productions, including over a dozen as Main Editor, I’ve also directed a released feature film and a television series.

Now, for the next 3–4 months, I’m taking on an unusual personal challenge: stepping outside my usual industry and exploring the world of online freelance editing.

I’m bringing the same cinematic eye, storytelling instincts, and professional standards I use in film and television to projects of any scale.

This isn’t a career change. It’s a deliberate experiment.

I’m not here to build an editing career. I’ve already built one — and taken it further into directing.
