I’m Katie Childs, a storyboard artist passionate about visual storytelling. I combine 1 year of classroom training and 4 years of personal practice to craft character staging, emotional depiction, and background sketches that support the narrative and production flow.
With 7 years of theater experience, I’ve learned how to nail timing and to collaborate with directors and production teams. I’m motivated by exploring new approaches and tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to streamline production while maintaining creative quality.

I’ve been scripting and composing for a musical I’m making with some fellow theater enthusiasts. So far, I’ve written half the scenes, written about four songs (lyrics included!) and created some very enjoyable characters as well as an obscurely interesting world to put them in. It’s still a wip, but I hope to finish it soon!
I’ve been developing my own post-apocalyptic fantasy series for about four-five years. I’ve written four different pilots (each of which is drastically different), developed at least three different versions of each character, and storyboarded over 300 panels. I’ve finally settled on the theme, and now I’m working on slowly and tediously bringing it to life.
I received a commission on Fiverr to make a storyboard about a girl who gets shrunk by a mad scientist. It was a very whimsical and funny story and I loved the open communication with the client; it really helped us come to the final product quickly.
