Hi, I’m Maria—nice to meet you. I am a singer, songwriter, music producer, sound designer, and film composer based in Berlin, Germany. My background is in cultural studies (anthropology), which intersects with my research on native singing traditions across cultures, as well as my classical choir singing and piano training. After exploring multiple vocal genres—including rock, reggae, world music, and jazz—I transitioned into electronic music production and collaboration. This led to my electronic pop project KEBU, for which I have been writing and producing music for over six years. I am currently completing my second higher education degree in Audio Production and Sound Engineering. During my studies, I began working professionally in music composition and sound design for film and animation. My recent projects include the short film Roots by Liliya Syvytska, the animated film 12 H Shift by Maryna Dovhanych, and the documentary The Longer You Bleed by Ewan Waddell. Combining strong research skills with musical versatility, I create tailored sound worlds that balance a client’s vision with my own creative approach. I value clear communication and strive to foster a respectful, supportive, and safe working environment. To date, I have consistently met the artistic expectations of the visual artists, filmmakers, and music producers I’ve collaborated with.
