    I was the documentary editor for CRAWN Trust’s Networks under the WVL Project Documentary, a powerful film showcasing the Women’s Voice and Leadership (WVL) initiative in Kenya.

    This film goes beyond statistics, telling the intimate, inspiring stories of women rising up to lead, from advocating for peace in the volatile Kerio Valley to achieving economic empowerment through beekeeping. My work involved crafting disparate regional case studies into a single, cohesive, and compelling narrative, ensuring every story of leadership—whether in politics, disability rights, or business—resonated with maximum impact. The resulting documentary is an essential testament to the strength of Kenya’s women’s rights movement and a powerful call to action for global gender equality.

    My responsibilities as a Podcast Video Editor included transforming raw audio and video assets into professional, highly engaging video content, primarily for distribution on platforms like YouTube. This role required proficiency in both technical production and creative visual storytelling. I was responsible for the core process of editing and synchronizing the multi-camera footage precisely with the final, polished audio track. A critical part of my work was enhancing the visual quality, which involved meticulous color correction and color grading to ensure a consistent, professional aesthetic across all episodes. I also integrated dynamic visual elements, such as B-roll footage, lower-third graphics, text overlays, and smooth transitions, all aimed at maximizing viewer retention.

    I oversaw the entire post-production process for both long-form episodes and promotional content. For audio, I ensured the highest quality by performing technical cleanup, which involved removing background noise and clicks, balancing audio levels across all speakers. Creatively, I worked to improve the pacing and flow of the content, making sure the final narrative was cohesive and compelling.

    Finally, I was tasked with creating various short-form, vertical video clips from the main episode, which were optimised specifically for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. This required a strong understanding of social media trends and fast-paced editing techniques. I ensured all final files met strict technical standards, adhered to the brand’s style guide, and were delivered on time to meet scheduled release deadlines.
