Kgothatso Bopape

I’m Kgothatso Bopape, a South African guitarist, composer, arranger, and producer with a strong foundation in jazz, African jazz, neo-soul, gospel, and contemporary music. My work blends African musical identity with modern harmony, melody, atmosphere, and story-driven writing—especially for film, animation, anime, and games.

I create original music tailored to visual storytelling, focusing on timing, character themes, and evolving motifs that help scenes feel emotionally alive. Alongside composing and arranging, I’m also involved in recording, editing, arranging, mixing, and production—using tools like Cubase and Logic Pro—while bringing my guitar-driven sound through performance, ensemble preparation, and drum programming.
