I’m Kitty Everson, a UK-based artist and illustrator specialising in expressive, hand-drawn work created with traditional materials. My practice is rooted in watercolour and ink, giving my illustrations a fluid, tactile quality with a strong sense of character, atmosphere and detail. I’m a versatile and capable illustrator, comfortable developing everything from expressive characters and animals to landscapes, botanical studies and more detailed narrative scenes. I particularly love creating imagery that feels warm, imaginative and full of personality; the kind of work that invites you to stop and look a little closer. I have previous experience illustrating a published children’s book, which was sold through Waterstones and Amazon, giving me an understanding of the care, consistency and storytelling required when creating illustrations for a complete book. Alongside illustration, I have a First Class BA in Fashion Design from Manchester Metropolitan University, specialising in print and knit, which has given me a strong understanding of colour, composition, pattern and visual storytelling.
