Kris York, formerly known as Lyrical, is a rapper/song-writer out of Montclair, New Jersey. Releasing a series of mixtapes, building a local following, and working with Cash Money production duo Cool and Dre, are among the early successes of Kris. Although Kris had a couple major labels interested in him, he decided to go the independent route instead. Some of Kris York's biggest influences are The Fugees, 2Pac, Biggie, 50 Cent, Eminem, J.
