Hi, I’m Kate Slezak. I’m an American-German dancer, choreographer, and performer based in Berlin and Leipzig. I hold a BFA in Contemporary Dance Performance and Choreography from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and am currently pursuing an MA in Choreography at the Inter-University Center for Dance Berlin (HZT) as well as an MA in Critical Dance Studies at Freie Universität Berlin. My practice spans dance, performance, and research, and I enjoy collaborations across education, site-specific works, and digital media. I have taught and facilitated creative movement for children and adults across Berlin and beyond, and I have created and performed in works ranging from improvisational solos to multimedia installations. I have collaborated with Tanzplattform Leipzig, Treibhaus e.V., and Leipzig International School, among others, and I am fluent in English and German.
