These are some concept ideas i had been working on for a friends short film that sadly fell through. the film itself was still in its early drafts and concepts for the musical compositions where produced alongside the evolution of the script. This was an fun way of working as it created a type of symbiosis between the writing an the music to help evolve the atmosphere of the the film. the process would envolve me reading a scene and then attempting and create a piece that is reflective of the atmosphere and the emotion of said scene. i would then send the peice over to the writer to listen to while he works on his next draft. I like this way of working as the script and sounds are allowed to evolve alongside each other.
i wont go into what the film was about, However I’m sure through the songs it will tell enough of a story and you’ll be able to get an idea of the range of feelings and atmosphere and tones with in the script
