My background begins with 24+ years of technical experience as an optical mechanic and dispensing technician in the optical/ophthalmic industry (Australia). However, in recent years, I pivoted from “talking about glasses all day” to “writing about glasses all day.” And seeing my ideas and knowledge come to life in this way scratched an itch I longed to soothe.

I now develop content on vision news, eye health, and eyewear for optical companies across Australia.

I’m comfortable developing content ideas across a broad range of media, whether brainstorming a concept for a 30-second TV advertisement slot or getting the sharpest angle on a 650-word blog post.

I love all aspects of copywriting and writing structure generally, so much so that I’ve expanded this pursuit with an eye toward creative fiction, having published several short stories in print and online with literary journals and presses.

I’m working on 3 longform novel manuscripts and am keen to be involved in as much of the writing/publishing industry as I can!
