In 2024, I was regularly releasing music under a collective body called ‘A Year of Song’. The purpose of the project was to take inspiration from each week and turn it into a piece of music which embodied my experiences.
I wrote this after Valentines day after taking my partner to the Dalston Jazz Bar. Our meal was accompanied by fantastic musicians and I felt truly inspired to write something which would emulate them.
I was lucky enough to have recently undertaken an Industry Short course with Lewisham Music, facilitated by the brilliant Shumba Maasai and Chuck XXV of Plus TRBE Productions and producer/mentor Tilda Landehag.
The industry course has refined my technical skills in audio production, music publishing and licensing, and importantly, elevated my understanding of success in the sync industry.
An integral part of the course was creating an original composition in response to bespoke commercial briefs, which we then pitched and showcased to industry professionals, including the iconic David Lowe. I chose to score a piece for a Peloton advert, with the goal of capturing radiating power, surges of energy and percussive and rhythmic textures to propel the picture forward.

In 2024, I was regularly releasing music under a collective body called ‘A Year of Song’. The purpose of the project was to take inspiration from each week and turn it into a piece of music which embodied my experiences.
I wrote this after watching the film ‘Saltburn’ for the first time. The core theme of dark academia was the driving force of the piece. I wanted to achieve a music work which was, at times, dissonant and jarring with juxtapositions between feeling tense and relieved.
