Community Mobiliser at Rare Diseases Lesotho Association

As a Community Mobilizer at the Rare Diseases Lesotho Association (RDLA), I worked on a five-month immunization pilot project sponsored by GAVI (Global Alliance for Vaccines). My role involved daily door-to-door engagement, tracing individuals, recording data, and coordinating weekend outreach clinics with Village Health Workers to bring services directly to the community. This experience polished my confidence and ability to communicate with strangers without fear. It strengthened my capacity to connect with diverse groups, listen actively, and empathize with their concerns, skills at the heart of effective strategic communication.
