I am an Industrial Product Designer currently based in Christchurch, New Zealand. I relocated from the North Island to study Industrial Product Design at the University of Canterbury, which has also allowed me to live closer to the ocean and larger mountains. I am very active in outdoor adventure sports, including mountain biking, rock and alpine climbing, multisport, kayaking, tramping, trail running, and canyoning, as well as hunting, and salsa dancing. These experiences have greatly influenced my design thinking and inspired me to search for solutions to challenges in each.

    Chor-Us
This project focuses on designing a mobile app that enables musicians to easily discover, connect, and collaborate with one another. The design process used will explore user experience by interface design principles to ensure accessibility and ease-of-use engagement for users. The target market is young adults aged 18–30 engaged in music scenes. The app will serve as a community hub for musicians. Users can create role-based profiles, share music or links, and find others by personality, taste, genre, skill, or location. Features will include collaboration outreach, messaging, and event boards to spark projects and partnerships with a live calendar to support networking. A booking function will support venues and artists with simple, streamlined gig listings and applications. The link to the prototype: https://www.twine.net/signin
    Make-A-Maze
The task was to design a pop up play space for a niche target user market, or specific customer group. This pop up play space must fit within 1m^3 when packed down. Together as a team, using a range of different techniques and skills we designed a compactible playspace for 3 to 5 year olds that incorporates imagination and self directed play.
    Artist Booklet
This project was for a special topic graphic design course (PROD386) at the University of Canterbury. The aim was to make and format a stapled booklet under 27 pages detailing an artist, font, or artistic movement using content from the associated wikipedia page. I chose Jackson Pollock, an influential figure of the abstract expressionist movement. I thoroughly enjoyed this project, introducing myself to adobe indesign and developing the skills necessary to create a polished finished design.
    Photography

In the summer at the end of 2023, I purchased my first camera, a Panasonic Lumix G85. Since then, I’ve taken it on many trips, capturing landscapes and moments as I walk, ride, and climb around New Zealand. I’ve taught myself how to take better photos, focusing on composition, scene setup, and camera settings, and have even won categories in small club competitions. Attached is a link to a Google photo album of selected photos.
