paper Let Me Be You | A poem by Charlotte Baumgärtel

In times full of noises, stress and dehumanisation, I’m longing to reconnect with the world. Earth and space as a non-judgemental, fully peaceful and aligned place to simply exist and admire the beauty of life. This poem was inspired by a deep and almost hurtful desire for the peace of mind and quietness one can only achieve by becoming one with life itself, letting go of all human pain and limits of thinking.

Written and directed by Charlotte Baumgärtel

    Animated by Dasha Shvartcman

paper Inside the Music of 'Mai Oblidis que T'estimo' | My most underrated score?

Two years ago my cousin and I wrote a short film based on the story of our grandmother - who is suffering from Alzheimer. Her disease is in such advanced state, she is essentially a vegetable and the only way for us to connect with her is through music 🎶

As a film composer, it always blows my mind that someone’s brain can erase her complete identity but still retain her favourite songs. The score I wrote is a rendition to this supernatural phenomenon 🪐

It’s not a score that wins awards and makes the headlines but it’s so well conceived and so precious to me, I could not help but to put this video together to explain my whole process of creation 💡

I hope you enjoy it :)
