I am a graduate of OCADU (Bachelor of Design) with a graphic design major and photography minor. Apart from my time spent in school, many other years of my life I have spent exploring creative possibilities in a variety of fields, media and practices. Here are some of the traits, skills and experience you can expect from me as a designer. As both a designer and individual, I pride myself on my creative problem-solving skills and have a strong passion for the work I do. I find inspiration from just about anywhere and I often have a difficult time pulling myself away from projects. I am just as comfortable working collaboratively as I am independently and find that exploring creative ideas from both myself and others is one of my favorite aspects of the work I do. I’m an aspirational learner and always looking to challenge myself with new software and processes. I’m hoping to find a opportunity where my skills will be challenged, and I’m able to learn and grow as a designer/individual. Within my practice I’m detail oriented, organized and always looking to find a perfect balance of form and function. One of the most rewarding feelings to me is watching a successful design production work to fulfill or exceed its intentions. Over my years spent exploring art and design I’ve gathered a wide range of skills and experience from many different projects. During my time at OCADU, I have developed strong foundational knowledge of design principles, color theory, typography and have lots of experience working with design software’s including but not limited to adobe suite, Microsoft office suite as well as traditional media practices such as drawing and painting. On top of this I’m grateful to have the opportunity to explore other media such as photography and videography where I’ve gained valuable experience shooting/editing photos and videos as well as exploring the possibilities of print production. While in school and during time after, I’m fortunate to have taken on design projects as a freelancer where I worked for a variety of clients such as an AI consultancy company where I executed a full brand guide including the design of Logos, wordmarks, color scheme, typography rules etc. Before this I worked for a biotech company conceptualizing and designing marketing materials such as informative brochures for both print and web, large scale promotional banners, video editing, digital ads and merchandise while following brand guidelines. I have also had the privilege of working with a startup music band where I designed a visual identity, which was used across, promotional materials, websites, album covers, merchandise and a music video all which I also solely produced.
