About

I’m Olivia Debik, a fine artist based in Limassol, Cyprus, working across drawing, painting, watercolour and sculpture. My practice is especially drawn to portraiture and the human face—how expression, identity and emotion can be conveyed through gesture, fragments and tonal detail.

I use pencil and charcoal as a foundation, then build visual ideas through watercolour and painting, while continuing to expand into three-dimensional form. I’m also interested in the relationship between people and their environment, and I often explore animals and natural forms alongside human presence—turning observation into work that feels intimate, personal and full of feeling.

An intentionally unfinished pencil portrait of a captain wearing a hat. The drawing explores the beauty of incompleteness, leaving parts of the sketch unfinished as a deliberate artistic choice. It symbolises a journey that has not yet reached its destination, reminding us that not every story needs a finished ending. The visible pencil lines and unfinished details give the artwork a sense of movement, imagination and possibility.
