Louise Houbaer

I’m a former television news presenter with nearly a decade of on-air experience, known for my clear, concise and engaging communication style. Throughout my journalism career, I developed a strong ability to break down complex information and deliver it in a way that feels accessible, calm and trustworthy — a skill I now use across MC hosting, panel work and freelance video storytelling.

I’m frequently called on to present, host, and lead discussions because I speak to audiences in a way that’s natural, warm and easy to follow. Whether I’m explaining a detailed issue, interviewing someone on camera, or guiding a room through an event, I focus on clarity, pace and connection.

Alongside my media work, I partner with organisations across Tasmania to create video content, conduct interviews, and represent their message with professionalism and ease. My background makes me comfortable stepping into new subject matter quickly — including technical or detailed information — and presenting it with confidence and accuracy.

I’m passionate about helping people understand information that genuinely affects their lives, and I pride myself on making content feel human, steady and engaging. I would bring this same approach to presenting mortgage and finance videos, ensuring viewers feel informed, supported and confident in the material.
