I'm a 31-year-old graphic designer from Waterloo, Iowa. I am a wife to an amazing husband and mommy to a beautiful little girl. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a bachelor's degree in Graphic Communications with a minor in Marketing. Upon graduation, I was hired to work as a graphic designer for Xpressions, which is a screen printing company in Cedar Falls, Iowa. I gained a lot of experience with Illustrator and vector graphics in my almost six years of employment there. I worked directly with clients from initial idea to finished product. I also was in charge of their small retail store they had in the front of the shop (coming up with new retail shirt designs, keeping stock of products, etc.) I was a designer at Xpressions from March of 2010 until December of 2015 While I was at Xpressions, I wanted to broaden my design skills from just t-shirts into other areas of design. So in November of 2012 (with the blessing of my boss at Xpressions), I started a freelance graphic design business on the side, and called it Lucky Star Graphics. In that role, I was again able to work directly with my own clients, and I broadened my experience to include logos, posters, business cards, invitations, wedding programs, and so many other things. To this day, I still do design projects through Lucky Star Graphics.
