Hello, I’m Luis Ferreira. I’m a Portuguese professional with extensive leadership experience in Occupational Health and Safety within the mining industry, notably in Mozambique. Since 2018 I’ve been a Senior Occupational Health and Safety Advisor at Mota-Engil MEEC for the Mozambique Coal Mine Moatize, coordinating safety, maintenance, and logistics to keep operations safe and compliant. I thrive on building strong teams, solving complex safety challenges, and delivering practical, on-the-ground results.
Earlier in my career I served as Deputy Project Director and Senior OHS Manager for Kal Tire / VALE Moçambique, and worked as an SHT Trainer for Vale Moçambique, among other safety-focused roles. I hold formal training credentials and certificates in safety coordination and hazardous materials transport, and I’m passionate about training, mentoring, and driving proactive safety cultures across projects.
