Lukas Radlin
I’m Lukas Radlin, a Toronto-based Sound Designer with experience working in film, tv, podcasts, video games, and music. I just recently finished an internship at Company 3 where I assisted the sound team with various tasks including organizing playbacks, cutting down M&Es, sending deliverables, completing QE fixes, and any other tasks that they needed me to complete. I have also been the host and producer of the podcast Upset Factor, where I talked about the Smash Bros Ultimate competitive scene, and I have worked on many other freelance projects including short films, ads for a local brand, and music for film. Now I am looking for new freelance opportunities so I can broaden my skillset and expand my portfolio while working on exciting projects with interesting people!

Upset Factor is a Podcast that I hosted and produced about the Smash Bros Ultimate competitive scene. Each week I chose a topic centred around the scene, whether it was a recent tournament, a new ranking list or a certain character or player making waves and I would give my thoughts on it, analyzing tournament sets and talking about the history behind them. All assets in the show were created by myself, including the podcast intro song, background music, transitions, and other sound effects. Editing was also done by myself on each of the recordings, which mainly consisted of cleaning up and enhancing audio quality, removing filler words and pauses, and cleaning up transitions between the various edits to make sure that the listener has the best listening experience possible. For the brand couch apparel I created the sounds for an advertisement for their Halloween campaign. This included making background music, and other sound effects to create a spooky atmosphere, and a voice over edited to sound glitchy and robotic. The ad shows instructions for various Halloween crafts.
Don’t Panic is a short film that I completed the sound track for, which consisted of various live instrument recordings including violin and piano, sound effects created and edited by myself, and vocal recordings edited together in a way that fit the eerie nature of the film.
