Max-Lukas Hundelshausen (MAXIMEDES) is a composer, tonmeister (recording engineer & music producer), and sound designer shaping bold sound worlds between contemporary classical, cinematic storytelling, and electronic innovation. His works have been performed at venues like the Berlin Philharmonie and the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, and he has created music for award-winning films and immersive theater productions.
Balancing precision and raw energy, MAXIMEDES moves seamlessly between concert hall, studio, and stage: from electroacoustic explorations to powerful live experiences. Based in Frankfurt am Main, he works internationally as a recording artist, editor, mixing&mastering engineer, and composer with leading ensembles, artists, and institutions, while developing his own visionary projects under the MAXIMEDES brand.
His academic background: 2015: BA Mus. at Erich-Thienhaus-Institut (Detmold) – 2016: MA Mus. at Erich-Thienhaus-Institut (Detmold) – 2020: Additional studies with Wolfgang Rihm (Karlsruhe) – 2025: examination of his doctoral thesis (University of Paderborn).
