I'm Deborah May, a filmmaker and multi-camera producer/director/editor with a background in Fine Art from South Africa and London. I’ve collaborated with leading artists and arts organizations, creating large-scale installations, documentaries, and promotional films, as well as experimental shorts with visual and performance artists. Since 2015 I’ve focused on disability arts as a mentor and collaborator, and I work as a freelance film artist in Sydney, telling unusual stories and collaborating with artists and storytellers whose voices are seldom heard. My work includes multi-channel installation Breakthroughs, documentary series Finding Our Voice, Maxine Doyle's Sunset, Boorna Waanginy: The Trees Speak, and documentary You Have Struck a Rock.
