Hello, I’m Mel M’rabet. I’m a musician, composer and producer rooted in Ottawa, blending Arabic musical heritage with contemporary world sounds. Over the years I’ve written and performed across Canada, the USA, Europe and beyond, collaborating with renowned artists and leading ensembles and sharing stages with Salif Keita, Cesaria Evora, Omar Sosa, and many others. I’m a multi-instrumentalist with a Master’s in Music and a BA in Ethnomusicology, and I’ve studied and taught at the University of Granada. I’m devoted to community outreach, cross-cultural exchange, and nurturing new generations of artists through commissions, collaborations and accessible performances.
