Hey there! My name is Maia, I’m a designer and illustrator from Maryland with a BFA in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Although I have been disciplined in the graphic design field, I’m a passionate illustrator as well and often find myself incorporating hand-drawn elements to my work. My art is often multimedia and a seamless collaboration between project guidelines and personal style. The projects I have worked on come from a diverse set of clients, from character designs to company logos to media graphics.

A print, web, and social campaign aimed at unblurring the lines between church and state.
The world we live in suffers from many impossible problems, societal issues that cannot be fixed with something as simple as a wave of the hand or a single wealthy angel benefactor, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be making ourselves and our communities better places. Working in a group with classmates Dylan Gutierrez, Grace Marcy, Caitlin Scheib, and Sia Tyagi, we decided to create a social campaign discussing the dangers of politics and religion influencing one another.

African Americans on the Move Book Club (more commonly known as AAMBC), is a nonprofit organization working to promote and support black creatives within the writing industry. They host events such as their yearly AAMBC Awards show and Black Writers Weekend (BWW) and have a multitude of smaller groups that live underneath the AAMBC umbrella. I got the chance to work with this group virtually over the summer of 2022, and spent a good amount of my time making social media posts and templates, designing style guides and headers, and developing print collateral for the events happening over the ensuing months.
