Industrial Design Engineer – NUWA Pen at NUWA

January 1, 2024 - Present

After the Lead Industrial Designer left the company, I took over some responsibilities and decision making. I took charge of DFM and handled communication with manufacturers, including visiting the factory in Asia to bring the Nuwa Pen into production. I participated in making project timelines and managing industrial design files and workflow. The Nuwa Pen project was awarded the IF Design Award.

Junior Industrial Design Engineer – NUWA Pen at NUWA

December 31, 2023 - August 15, 2025

Designed, prototyped, built, and actively tested Nuwa’s first product, the Nuwa Pen. Redesigned the Nuwa Pen and its charging case for improved functionality, user experience, and manufacturability. Solved product complexity issues and reduced part count from 31 to 22 pieces. Used CAD software to create 3D models and technical drawings, and created prototypes with CNC machines such as FDM and resin printers. The Nuwa Pen digitizes handwriting with an integrated camera system allowing exact copies on devices from any paper.

Thesis Project – Pantheon (In Partnership: IED & RIZOMA) at IED & RIZOMA

January 1, 2022 - August 15, 2025

Created a modular system for the display, management and storage of passions and high-tech hobbies focused on drone and videography. Developed an easy to assemble wall mounted system of electrified boards allowing the user to display, store, and work on various aspects of their hobbies in an aesthetically pleasing manner. The project emphasized rearrangeable layouts and charging solutions and was highly recognized despite being developed by only two people instead of the required four or more.

Carpentry Intern – Internship at Atelier d’Art Appliqué

December 31, 2021 - August 15, 2025

Designed and produced furniture for the restaurant Brasserie Le Vaudois, inspired by a rustic wine cave style. Products included tables, chairs, benches, wine rack, and mini bar using natural wood, stone, and various finishes.
