After completing his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Digital Film Making at SAE Zurich / Middlesex University London, Markus began working across the full spectrum of visual storytelling — from documentary and editorial work to aerial cinematography and commercial production. He has been part of three Warren Miller Entertainment cinema productions, provided aerial footage for Dutch TV productions by SimpleZodiak, and stood at 6,963 metres above sea level with a camera on the Aconcagua summit expedition in 2009. His work has been recognised internationally, with awards from the IPA International Photography Awards in New York and the Monochrome Awards. Publications include a photobook, cinema and TV credits across Europe and the US, and ongoing exhibition work in Graubünden and beyond. Today, Markus focuses on photography and film for tourism, outdoor sports, and documentary — telling alpine stories with the authenticity that only comes from someone who has lived them.
