Matt Battye

Born and raised just outside Manchester, England, I moved to New Zealand at the age of 29 and have called it home for the last 18 years. Despite being on the other side of the world, I still wake up at ridiculous hours to catch live Premiership Football.

Professionally, I am a Senior Art Director & Designer with over 20 years of experience. I’m freelancing at Cheil NZ, creating immersive Samsung experiences, including a mini-golf course and a dark room-inspired escape room to promote the brand’s products.

Before Cheil, I was the Senior Art Director and Designer at SkyCity, creating highly profitable campaigns like ‘Six in the City’ and ‘SpyCity.’ I’ve also held senior positions at The Warehouse, Procreation, and .99, delivering award-winning campaigns and rebrands across various sectors, from retail to entertainment.

My latest passion is AI and I use various AI websites to create AI art, YouTube videos, and music.
