Welcome! My name is Megan (but everyone calls me Megs) and I am a self-taught photographer. I picked up photography when a dear friend suggested I get a professional camera because I had a unique eye for image composition, so I did! After learning how to use my camera, I gravitated towards theatre candids at the Erie Playhouse. Theatre is something I have always been passionate about, so learning during rehearsals and performances made for unforgettable memories with my friends and theatre family. This gave me a lot of experience that ended up helping me transition into portraiture. Fast forward to many months of practicing on friends and my son, and learning the ins-and-outs of running a business, I turned my art into my full-time job in 2020. My mom passed away when I was 16 and I don't have many photos of her. This has made an impact throughout my entire life. It reinforced how priceless photography is and put things into perspective on how I want to live my life. Photography has let me spend most of my time with my son, instead of a traditional 9-5. This has led to more time playing, mountain biking, and learning how to be a mom to a little boy. It is truly a gift and I’m so thankful to have this opportunity. I've always been a little odd, goofy, and extremely sarcastic and my images follow suit! I try to get angles that no one else has shown, techniques out of the norm, and styles not yet seen. I want to give the viewer a different perspective. I will do this by combining posing, documentary, and candid shots in each of my sessions. I will ensure that your galleries will have a tasteful variety of my favorite styles of photographs. With a laid-back approach, my hope is you'll be comfortable within moments of meeting me, and we'll be laughing and enjoying each other's company. Let me help you tell your story of strength, romance, passion, and the emotion that ties you to your loved ones with my images, capturing the most beautiful moments of love people will ever share.
