Melanie Schnaidt

Hi,

I’m Melanie, a 2D animator specializing in character animation with five years of academic experience and one year in production at an animation studio, working on small commercials and prop design. I studied at the Animationsinstitut at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Germany.

I’ve worked on The Undying Pain of Existence, an Oscar- and Annie-nominated student film, and was the 2D Lead Animator on my diploma film The Panic Inside, a 2026 Student Academy Awards semifinalist.

My strengths include expressive character animation and strong posing. I can adapt my style from realistic to cartoony. As well as experience in working collaboratively in production environments and in storyboarding.
