Comic book about Mexican historic women.
There are lives that deserve to be remembered and stories that deserve to be told. If no one tells them — did they ever truly exist? The intention of this project is to bring back to life the heroines of our history. Their longings and ideals ended up altering the course of Mexico.
The book Históricas includes three comic stories that narrate the lives of outstanding Mexican women: Leona Vicario, Juana Belén Gutiérrez de Mendoza, and Amelia Robles Ávila. Each story is between 16 and 24 pages long, complemented with fun facts and images that document different stages of Mexico’s history.
Research, script, illustration, and editing by Mena Bo.
