Hi, I’m Michael F. Rodgers, a multidisciplinary music educator, performer, and producer based on Long Island, NY. Since 2016 I have directed music and performing arts for Plainview-Old Bethpage CSD, supervising 30+ staff and multiple theatres, while expanding programs with innovative technologies and community partnerships. I also teach as an Adjunct Professor of Music Education at Five Towns College and work as a freelance artist and consultant, composing, arranging, and supervising music across stage and screen. In my work, I blend pedagogy, creativity, and DEI principles to build engaging experiences for students and communities.
Beyond the classroom, I collaborate with guest artists, run hands-on projects like our guitar-building workshop, and craft curricula for music tech, mindfulness, and arts integration. I believe music can empower learners of all ages and I enjoy mentoring teachers and students to explore their creative voices.
