I craft my music around your stories. I love telling stories with music, so I enjoy composing music to other people’s images and narratives. There is something exciting about movies—their scale can be vast, and when a film crew is at work it feels like the circus has come to town. I also love circuses, whether in big productions or small, intimate moments. Watching a film being made and helping shape its score is always a thrill, and the process of creating the soundtrack usually happens toward the end of shooting, adding another piece to the giant mosaic that is film or television.
I love acting, performing, and dancing, and I relish collaborating with others’ ideas. I am a versatile session musician and composer with extensive experience in theatre, dance, and live music performance. I enjoy developing multimedia works and am currently pursuing new opera and theatre projects, while continuing to score for film and stage, including ongoing work on multi-disciplinary pieces such as The Ballad of Stella Strange.
