I’m Michelle M Scullion, a New Zealand-based composer, educator, musician and photographer based on the Kapiti Coast. I craft my music around stories and love telling stories with music, whether for film, theatre, or dance. I enjoy the energy of a film set as well as the intimacy of small performances, and I relish collaborating with directors, choreographers and designers to help a project come to life.
I’m currently developing new work like The Ballad of Stella Strange and performing live in a variety of formats, blending jazz, world music and natural textures with electronic soundscapes. I value multidisciplinary collaboration and sharing ideas, and I bring a flexible, explorer’s approach to every project.
