Master of Arts (M.A.) at Academy of Arts

The main focus of my two-year study period at the Academy of Arts (University of Nova Gorica, Slovenia) was on Film (directing and scriptwriting). I had an opportunity to work on many projects ranging from short fiction and documentary films, to VR, while simultaneously integrating and working extensively as music composer, sound designer, sound recordist & boom operator, visual effects artist, animator, colorist and film editor. During these two year of studying, I had a privilege that my film classes were conducted with my mentor one-on-one, as I was the only student from my class. My final M.A. project, under the mentorship of famous Slovenian director and scriptwriter Janez Burger, is a short fiction film ''Hell Thunders'', which was premiered within the student competition selection at the Festival of Slovenian Film Portorose 2024. Besides being the writer and director of this film, i have also worked as music composer, sound designer, visual effects artist, editor and colorist.     This is the latest project from year 2024. A short film I directed, while also being in charge for some other things, such as being the film editor, vfx supervisor and artist, music composer and producer, sound designer and sound editor.

    Logline: ‘‘To compose the music for the opening of a football stadium, a renowned musician must confront his fear of the thunder that killed his father.’’

    Synopsis: “Musician Artur is hired by powerful tycoon Bogdan, to create the anthem for the opening ceremony of Bogdan’s new football stadium Hell Thunders, named after its cheerleaders. Emotionally invested in this event, Bogdan demands that the sounds of thunder be incorporated into the anthem. However, Artur has a problem with this demand; he is afraid of thunder.”
