Cyrille Taillandier

Cyrille Taillandier is a French-born audio engineer, music producer, and educator based in the United States. With a career spanning nearly three decades, he has built an international reputation for excellence in recording, editing, mixing, and music production while bridging the worlds of professional music creation and higher education.
After graduating from the École Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle (ESRA) in Paris in 1996, Cyrille began his career as an assistant recording engineer at some of France’s most respected recording studios, including Davout, Soft-ADS, Miraval, and Le Manoir. During this period, he contributed to the recording of the multi-platinum, award-winning album Essence Ordinaire by the French group Zebda, working alongside renowned producer Nicholas Sansano. The project brought him to New York, where he decided to establish his career in 1999.
In New York, Cyrille joined the team of acclaimed mixer Tony Maserati as a Pro Tools engineer and mix assistant. During this time, he contributed to several landmark recordings, including Songs in A Minor by Alicia Keys, and On the 6 by Jennifer Lopez, among other multi-platinum projects.
Since 2001, Cyrille has worked independently as a recording, mixing, and Pro Tools engineer, collaborating with internationally recognized artists including Lenny Kravitz and Angélique Kidjo. His work is known for combining technical precision with musical sensitivity, serving artists across genres from rock and pop to world music.
Alongside his production career, Cyrille has become a respected educator in music technology. He has taught audio production at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU and has been a faculty member in the Music Industry Program at Drexel University since 2007, where he mentors the next generation of recording engineers, producers, and music professionals. He has also presented at professional industry conferences, including the Audio Engineering Society convention, sharing his expertise with educators and audio professionals worldwide.
Today, Cyrille continues to operate his independent mixing practice through Mixed by T, providing professional remote mixing services to artists around the world while remaining active as a producer, engineer, educator, and mentor. His career reflects a lifelong commitment to sonic excellence, artistic collaboration, and the advancement of music production education.
