Iram A. Perozo Díaz

I am a multidisciplinary visual artist and crafter whose work explores materials and three-dimensionality, with a focus on realism in scientific illustration and human portraiture. I enjoy experimenting with a wide range of materials in two dimensions, and I transcend the traditional painting surface by integrating mixed media, assemblage and sculpture to create tactile, textural pieces. I fuse conceptual rigor with hands-on craft, using unconventional substrates to craft complex visual and spatial experiences. As an educator, I design educational projects that stimulate fine motor skills, spatial perception and creativity in children, promoting art as a language of tactile and volumetric exploration.

In my practice, I specialize in modelling and volume-building techniques to give pieces a distinctly tactile presence, continually exploring materials and processes to push the boundaries between art, craft and science.
