 My name is Ethan Brown, and I have been professionally composing for two years, but have been generally composing for ten years. I have composed everything from funk and lo-fi music to orchestral and small ensemble works. I am specialized in orchestration and percussion performance, and I have studied and completed the following skills to become successful in this field: theory, advanced theory, aural skills, advanced aural skills,  performance, piano, composition, and film score tactics. I write exhilarating and beautiful music for any project, and I believe my credentials show that. Music is a gift, and I love bringing out the emotions that each project deserves.

Lurking - Demo

This is just a demo, so far. Lurking was created for my own personal use to add to my portfolio, showcasing what I can do in terms of orchestrate and create. It takes place in an abandoned ruins where the character feels unsettled about the desolate setting. He feels watched. The creatures slowly stalk him, lurking around every corner. The character becomes frightened and begins to run from the site. He is being chased as the strings and main motif begin. The low brass hits signify the vision of being stalked then chased by something sinister. Percussion adds to that sense as well. The melody is in C diminished and creates a frightening mood with the built in triads, being echoed by the horns. Madness ensues. music instrumental soundtrack

Forest Trails is the theme for the Acren Forest for game developer, Bob Scott. Bob is an individual game developer that creates his own indie and GBA styled games. This theme fits the area, Acren Forest, for his new project, Pokemon Vandium. This piece portrays the forest in an daylight point of view. music soundtrack instrumental

Thesis Project for Film Student

I created an instrumental background for a film student’s thesis project at Elon University. The thesis was an intro scene for an original tv show, Galaxy Girls, and required a lofi, space enthused piece. The student provided the initial chord structure, the lyrics, as well as the singing performance. I created the instrumentation for her intro, recorded the instruments, mixed the small piece, and produced the final product for her project. It was successful, and look forward to other projects like this one. The piece is entitled, By The Power of Light. music instrumental master
