uniE621 Website Design for WMA LLC
This project involved designing and building a clean, user‑focused website that communicates brand identity through clear structure, intuitive navigation, and cohesive visual strategy. I developed the layout, content organization, and overall digital experience to support the client’s goals while ensuring the site remained accessible, responsive, and easy to maintain.
    uniE621 Ancient to Modern Fabrication
We wanted to take a real-world experience with us through the attempt at preserving a great traditional craft. We mixed modern techniques with the values this seminar taught us- wood selection, the use of a hand planer, and the glue or fastener options. Trying to stay true to ancient techniques, we used cypress wood (alternate to Japanese cypress) and created a fabrication packet to allow us the most accurate results and representation of our joint through the process. Every aspect of the fabrication process had to be thought out- the direction of the wood grain, necessary tolerance, and mortar and tenon placements. The result led us through an eye-opening journey of respect for those who love the craft, which allowed us to fully understand the capacity it has.
    uniE621 Habitat for Humanity Design-Build
This project involved hands‑on participation in a Habitat for Humanity design‑build effort, where I contributed to both the design development and on‑site construction process. My work included coordinating with teammates, interpreting construction documents, and helping translate design intent into built form. The experience strengthened my understanding of material decisions, field coordination, and the impact of community‑focused design.
uniE621 Historic Kansas City Adaptive Reuse Conversion
This project reimagines a historic downtown Kansas City building through a contemporary adaptive‑reuse renovation that balances preservation, functionality, and community impact. My work focused on documenting existing conditions, developing renovation concepts, and coordinating with architects, engineers, and consultants to modernize the structure while honoring its original character. The design approach strengthens the building’s role in the urban fabric, supports new programmatic needs, and contributes to the ongoing revitalization of Kansas City’s historic core.
